About the Role

As System Medical Director of Advanced Heart Failure , you will spearhead the development and oversight of advanced heart failure services across Main Line Health’s four hospitals and affiliated facilities. This leadership role combines strategic vision with hands-on clinical expertise, ensuring seamless integration of advanced therapies—including LVAD, ECMO, and transplant evaluation —into a comprehensive care continuum.

You will collaborate with nationally recognized experts and multidisciplinary teams to expand access to life-saving technologies, elevate quality standards, and foster a culture of innovation through research and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership: Guide advanced heart failure care delivery, ensuring best practices and exceptional outcomes.
• Program Development: Build and grow a system-wide program that integrates mechanical circulatory support, transplant evaluation, and emerging therapies.
• Research & Education: Partner with the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR) to advance clinical trials, early feasibility studies, and physician training.
• Quality & Compliance: Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with national benchmarks.
• Community Engagement: Serve as a visible leader and advocate for heart health across the region.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology .
• Active PA medical license (or eligibility) and credentials for Main Line Health hospitals.
• Extensive experience managing complex heart failure cases, including mechanical circulatory support (LVAD, ECMO) and transplant evaluation.
• Proven leadership in academic or clinical settings with expertise in program development and research.
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills; commitment to patient-centered care.
