Payroll Manager - Construction
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Manager with expertise in the construction industry to oversee and manage all payroll functions. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with labor regulations, administer employee benefits, and maintain accurate payroll records while leading a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for construction employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations specific to the construction industry.
- Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries.
- Oversee and optimize timekeeping systems to ensure accurate tracking of hours worked.
- Utilize payroll software to process payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Stay updated on tax regulations to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Perform data entry and maintain payroll records to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues.
- Solve payroll-related problems and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Lead and manage the payroll team, ensuring effective performance and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor compliance and regulations in the construction sector.
- Experience with payroll software and timekeeping systems.
- Proficient in tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong reporting and auditing skills.
- Experience in team management and leadership.
