Computrex Computers & Electronics, Inc is now accepting resumes from IT Professionals for the following full-time position:

IT Generalist

The IT Generalist position provides extensive technical support and expertise to clients and in the areas of operating system, light database administration, and network traffic routing. The IT Generalist is responsible for diagnosing and solving customer issues in a timely and courteous manner. The IT Generalist may work independently or with other support specialists and support analysts to resolve operating system, database, and other technical issues. This position has a great impact on the reputation of the company and therefore a client's impression of the entire company is often based on the quality of their experience.

Technical Skills

· Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude

· Microsoft support and deployment experience with Windows Server 2012 R2-2025, Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure

· Support and deployment experience with Windows 11 in domain environments

Support and deployment knowledge of Linux systems

· Experience with Dell, Cisco switches, routers, security appliances and wireless access points

· Working knowledge of server hardware and network configurations.

· Ability to troubleshoot PC configurations and connectivity issues

· Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance

· No Microsoft Certifications required. But a working knowledge is.

· Able to work independently or as part of a team

· Must be prepared to travel as required (30 mile radius)

Responsibilities

· Provide operating system, server, and workstation support, troubleshooting, and consultation.

· Staying organized not with just a ticketing system, but a schedule and taking notes

· Network & local printing

· Hardware configuration and troubleshooting

· Document and record all aspects of client interactions.

· Manage open calls by identifying and prioritizing issues.

· Contribute to company knowledge library.

· Become a trusted client resource by providing service that consistently demonstrates strong product knowledge and work ethic along with respect for the client.

· Evaluate the severity of an issue and determine if management intervention is necessary to address a serious problem in a timely manner.

· Build rapport with clients to turn what may be a negative situation into a positive customer service experience.

· Manage and prioritize multiple and often conflicting tasks.

· Demonstrate effective communication skills with a wide range of clients, both internal and external, from technical to non-technical and from management to clerical. Focus on providing accurate answers in a pleasant manner.

· Adapt to changing products and environments.

· Provide seamless integration to department and company resources to reinforce single point of contact and total incident ownership, including those outside direct area of responsibility.

Valued Qualifications (not required)

· Experience as part of a Microsoft Partner organization

· Experience working for a managed services organization

Experience with N-Able MSP software is a large plus
