Extrusion Technician

Tredegar Surface Protection has an exciting opportunity for an Extrusion Technician to join our Production/Manufacturing Team!

Responsibilities & Duties:
The Extrusion Technicians are skilled in the production of plastic film in order to achieve maximum output of high-quality products for use in packaging and electronics applications. Responsibilities include operating extrusion equipment, packaging, roll handling, forklift operation, housekeeping and process/quality checks.

• A high degree of alertness in order to identify safety. process and quality problems in assigned production area.
• Good listening and communication skills required to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Good written communication skills are required to document process conditions and facilitate the transfer of information as required.
• Ability to acquire, retain and accurately implement a thorough knowledge of production processes.
• A degree of independent judgement.
• Ability to promote a positive work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Compensation:

• The starting pay rate is $25.95 per hour. The shift differential for working nights is an additional $1.30 per hour.

• Shifts are 7:00 AM-7:00 PM (days), or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), some departments work 7:15 AM-7:15 PM (days), or 7:15 PM – 7:15 AM (nights).
