Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client to support accurate and efficient financial operations with a strong focus on vendor payments and reporting. This hybrid opportunity is based in Pennsylvania and offers a contract to hire pathway with a blend of onsite and remote work. The role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting monthly close activities, and ensuring timely processing of payables. The ideal candidate brings hands on experience with NetSuite and a strong understanding of accounting processes.
Compensation:
$26 to $34 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Manage end to end accounts payable processing, including invoice coding, purchase order matching, and preparation of weekly vendor payments
- Support monthly financial activities by reviewing general ledger accounts, analyzing check registers and wire activity, and preparing accounts payable reporting
- Perform reconciliations of outstanding checks, maintain accurate records, and assist with unclaimed property reporting across multiple states
- Maintain organized financial documentation, including credit card transactions, lease records, and vendor contracts, ensuring proper billing and audit readiness
- Contribute to broader accounting operations by updating cash flow tracking, preparing sales and use tax data, and assisting with deposits and vendor pricing requests
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional accounting education or training considered a plus
- At least five years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions within a professional setting
- Experience using NetSuite is required; familiarity with Intacct or similar accounting systems is beneficial
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and collaborate across teams
