Lead mold maker
AWS/CES is seeking a Lead Mold Maker for an automotive manufacturing client in Erie, PA
- Location: Erie, PA
- Schedule: Temp to Hire/start time 5am or 6am
- Pay Rate: up to $42/hr depending on experience
- Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Job Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mold Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the mold-making process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to meet production goals.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Dive into concept meetings and bring designs to life with precision.
- Craft the perfect production plan alongside our Manufacturing Engineer.
- Answer the burning questions about quality, delivery, and technical wizardry.
- Oversee machining, grinding, and assembly—making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
- Keep an eagle eye on inspection paperwork and quality control measures.
- Troubleshoot scheduling issues like a pro and keep things on track.
- Conduct final fit, assembly, and mold completion inspections with pride.
- Debug molds after sampling and lead post-completion job reviews.
- Mentor, train, and inspire your team to greatness.
- Keep your work area spotless because a clean workspace is a happy workspace!
Qualifications:
- Certification, college degree, or equivalent mold manufacturing experience.
- 8+ years of expertise in building, leading, and assembling high-cavitation, multi-action molds.
- The ability to juggle priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines like a champ.
- A sharp eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A knack for time management and making things happen.
