Reports to: Dental Practice Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: 2 Days per week (Monday through Friday)

Position Summary

Smart Arches is looking to hire an enthusiastic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated dental team. Thanks to a steady demand for our services, a loyal and strong patient base, we are expanding our horizon even further. As a result, we are looking for excellent talents to grow with us. Our Registered Dental Hygienist role is for any qualified individual, including recent Hygiene school graduates!

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent patient care
  • Take and develop dental x rays
  • Assess patients' oral health and report findings to dentists
  • Document patient care and treatment plans
  • Educate patients about oral hygiene techniques, such as how to brush and floss correctly
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public.

Qualifications

  • Dental Hygiene license (Required)
  • Local Anesthesia (Preferred, but not required)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands and arms to operate general office equipment (PC, telephone, file cabinets, copier, fax machine and printer). The employee may occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to travel to healthcare practices.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
