Quality Control Technician - Manufacturing
The Quality Control Technician at Kurt J. Lesker Company (KJLC) is responsible for performing visual, dimensional , and leak inspections on standard and complex manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings , quality standards , and safety requirements . This role works cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Supervision, and provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior inspectors as needed.
This position is ideal for a hands‑on quality professional with experience in mechanical inspection , Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) , Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation , and manufacturing environments. Job Details:- Type of Employment: Full-time

- Reports to: Assistant Manufacturing Manager
- Shift: Daylight, no weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional , and leak inspections using established quality inspection methods and tools
- Verify material, component , and assembly compliance to engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect standard and complex parts in accordance with first article, in‑process, and final inspection requirements
- Accurately complete inspection reports , logs, and quality documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and quality policies related to assigned work
- Execute work assignments and technical instructions with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Supervisors, and Manufacturing to resolve quality issues and prioritize work
- Provide technical support, training, and mentoring to junior inspectors
- Support compliance with the company Quality Management System (QMS) and HR policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required:
- 1–5 years of experience in Quality Inspection , Mechanical Inspection , Manufacturing, or Engineering
- Working knowledge of CMM operation
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Strong proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with first article, in‑process, and final inspection
- Basic understanding of a Quality Management System (QMS)
- Proficient with computer systems and quality software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with vacuum leak detection or leak testing methods
