Electrical Specialist
job summary:
An Electrical Specialist is needed for one of the world's largest power management and power generation services companies in the West Pittsburgh, PA area. A senior-level role responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety of high-voltage electrical systems (up to 13.8KV) and power generation equipment within a large-scale natural gas power plant.

responsibilities:
- Inspects, troubleshoots, and maintains motors, generators, and high-voltage electrical equipment.
- Manages electrical systems within a natural gas-fired facility, specifically B&W Boilers and Westinghouse Generators.
- Performs repairs and installations on equipment ranging from 480V to 13.8KV.
- Conducts maintenance on high-voltage switchyards and related electrical infrastructure.
- Executes electrical system isolations and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures following industry standards.
- Implements preventive maintenance measures and responds to electrical emergencies.
- Trains staff on Electrical Safety programs and best practices.
- Interprets complex technical procedures, instructions, and organizational documents.
- Uses computer systems for data analysis, communication, and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment and have excellent organizational skills.
- strong personal computer skills to facilitate various tasks, including documentation, communication, and data analysis.
- A High school or trade school diploma or the equivalent
- Four years of journeyman electrician experience desired.
