Financial Close and Reconciliation Accountant

We’re seeking a Financial Close and Reconciliation Accountant to deliver accurate financials, robust controls, and clear insights that fuel forecasting and analysis in a growing organization.
Role snapshot
- Strengthen financial reporting reliability and internal controls.
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support budgeting, job costing, and project-level inquiries that guide operational decisions.
Core responsibilities
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close duties.
- Prepare and post journal entries and accruals; maintain updated general ledger accounts.
- Assist with monthly budgeting; contribute to forecasting/analysis workstreams.
- Back up Accounts Payable as needed: invoice processing, AP report generation, and payment preparation.
- Review and validate transactions entered by team members for accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proper coding, documentation, and data flow.
- Conduct job costing analysis and field project-level financial questions.
- Operate within established systems and processes to ensure data integrity and consistent practices.
- Protect confidential and sensitive financial information at all times.
Required background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong Excel proficiency for reconciliation and analysis.
- Solid grasp of U.S. GAAP.
Preferred exposure
- QuickBooks Desktop.
- ERP or other major accounting systems.
- Manufacturing or project-based accounting.
