A Manufacturing Painter performs preparation and painting of mobile devices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and other methods of device preparation.
• Select and mix paints based on model color, as matched, and entered in system.
• Apply coats of paint, clear coat, and primer (if necessary) to match OEM finish.
• Ensure application of paint correction on all damaged areas of devices.
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, cleaning and storing them properly after each use.
• Complete projects within specified timeframes while adhering to quality standards.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business of the division's goal.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, paint mixing, and application methods.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand eye coordination.
• Knowledge of different types of paints, as well as their properties and applications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• General knowledge of OSHA Standards.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques or technologies in the painting industry.
• Certifications in refinishing techniques, ASE or I-Car preferred.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment.
• Ability to work in a paint booth with a PAPR device.
• Ability to perform tasks such as lifting (equal to or excessing 50 lbs.), bending over, kneeling down, elevation of the arms above the head.
