A well-established and highly respected engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer / Project Manager to lead high-impact bridge and structural engineering projects across Pennsylvania and surrounding states . As a key player in our Structural Engineering group, you will manage all phases of bridge projects—from concept development through construction—and contribute to the growth and mentoring of junior engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures for public infrastructure projects

• Lead multidisciplinary bridge engineering projects from planning through construction

• Coordinate with local, county, and state transportation agencies, including PennDOT and Turnpike authorities

• Oversee bridge inspections and prepare detailed evaluation reports

• Prepare technical proposals and cost estimates for competitive bids

• Provide construction support services including contract administration and project coordination

• Manage project financials, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and deliverables

• Serve as primary client liaison and maintain strong, long-term relationships

• Represent the firm in professional organizations (e.g., ASCE, NSPE) and community networks

• Mentor and lead a team of junior structural engineers and designers, supporting their technical and career growth

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (B.S. required)

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania required ; New Jersey PE a plus

• Minimum of 10 years of structural/bridge engineering experience

• Strong background in public-sector projects, with preferred experience on PennDOT and Turnpike projects

• Proven ability to manage clients, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and structural design software including PennDOT applications

• Deep understanding of permitting processes, budget control, and agency compliance
