The Role at a Glance

As a Financial Analyst with our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis department, you will focus on the consolidated analysis of our statutory life insurance companies and non-insurance companies and learn how each entity contributes to free cash flow for the organization.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analyzing results used for the Company’s Statutory consolidated and legal entity presentations to accommodate management views.
• Assisting in preparing quarterly analysis reporting and packages, including working with functional areas across the organization to obtain necessary support to explain variances in financial results.
• Assisting with regulatory filings, including quarterly and annual statements and supplemental filings, as needed.
• Assisting with quarterly close entries and reconciliations, as needed.
• Assisting in the consolidation of the company’s financial plan and forecasts.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
• Performing ad hoc analysis / support as needed.

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• 3-5+ years experience in financial analysis that directly aligns to the specific responsibilities for this role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
• Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
• Remains current in profession and industry trends.

Nice to haves:

• Previous statutory reporting and analysis experience at an insurance company.
• Previous Anaplan experience.
• Professional designation that aligns with roles and responsibilities.

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
