Mechanic
Join our team as a Mechanic, where you will assist in the service and repair of pumps, ensuring they are cleaned, repaired, and ready for field deployment. You will be involved in the teardown and refurbishment of power units and pump systems, preparing them for repowering. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and the willingness to learn.
Responsibilities- Clean and disassemble pump systems.
- Perform service work on pumps and test machines.
- Pull hoses and perform testing of equipment.
- Assist in welding tasks as needed; training available if necessary.
- Dismantle pump power units and prepare them for repainting.
- Collaborate with trained mechanics for repairs and fabrication when needed.
- Mechanical aptitude and assembly experience.
- Basic knowledge of diesel and mechanical assembly.
- Troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Understanding of hydraulics and preventive maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
- Experience in auto, diesel, marine, or small engine mechanics.
- General knowledge of electrical systems (12v) with a willingness to learn higher voltage systems (230-460v).
- Basic reading and mathematical skills.
- Legible handwriting.
- Must possess a basic set of tools.
- Reliable transportation required.

Work EnvironmentWork hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with an hour for lunch. The role includes an on-call schedule every fourth week, from Monday to Sunday. The work setting is a team-oriented shop environment without air conditioning, requiring tasks in a dirty shop and yard. Training on forklift and overhead crane usage is provided. A collaborative attitude is essential to fulfill various shop duties.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
