Compensation

Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania 17042
• Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Unit (4 East)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Floating: Float to all Med/Surg units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (no license hits accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• ACLS & BLS certifications (AHA or ARC required)
• EPIC charting experience required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses, including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illnesses, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic conditions, COPD, sepsis, and end-of-life care
• Manage a patient load of 5-6 per shift
• Float to other Medical Surgical units, including stroke and peritoneal dialysis floors
• Document and chart patient care using EPIC EMR
• Perform and manage procedures such as central line care, chest tube management, feeding tube care, cardiac drips (no titration), telemetry monitoring, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code teams as needed
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
