Job Details

Under general supervision of the Corporate Manager, Payroll, responsible for handling a large volume of highly sensitive, payroll-related information in an accurate, expedited and confidential manner for a specific group or groups of Cecnora associates.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for inputting compensation, benefits and banking information into the payroll system.

• Handles wage garnishments for associates within his/her payroll group.

• Compiles, prepares, processes and inputs payroll information in order to produce timely and accurate paychecks for approximately 1,200 associates.

• Ensures integrity with data in the system by inputting data accurately and completely.

• Properly administers all payroll-related functions in compliance with the Corporate Payroll Department's standard operating procedures.

• Processes payroll data for newly-hired and terminated associates.

• Prepares manual checks that are handled outside of the regular payroll cycle; maintains proper documentation.

• Completes payroll processing by generating applicable reports such as balancing reports and all required ADP confirmation reports.

• Responds to all payroll-related questions from Cencora associates.

• Responsible for all facets of payroll processing including interfacing with ADP payroll system and Kronos time-keeping system.

• Responsible for maintaining a high-degree of confidentiality relative to personal data, salary data and associate benefits information maintained in the HRIS system.

• Researches issues and promptly resolves associate requests and inquiries.

• Ensures that the specific pay group he/she is responsible for is processed in time for centralized processing, contributing to a successful payroll every other week.

• Interacts closely with other departments within Human Resources in order to complete necessary paperwork required for payroll processing.

• Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience; CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Good understanding of payroll processing software programs, preferably Workday

• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and related tax applications.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing .

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Adept at handling sensitive and confidential situations

• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.

• Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices .

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
