Chemical Tracking Coordinator

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA 19355

Schedule: 1st Shift/ M-F 7:30 am - 4 pm

Hourly Rate: $21.66/hr.

What we’re looking for

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required

• Experience : 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service

• Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information, intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.

• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.

• Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

• Travel may be required between buildings.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Conduct daily reviews of chemical inventory and promptly resolve inventory, planning, and supply chain issues.

• Perform annual reviews and reconciliation of chemical inventories across all laboratories.

• Reconcile chemical materials for each lab to ensure accurate and up-to-date records in the inventory database.

• Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.

• Communicate with suppliers as required to obtain proof of delivery and resolve shipment inquiries.

• Review and address issues related to expiration dates, duplicate shipments, shipment overages, incorrect deliveries, and no-charge replacements.

• Collaborate with material purchasing teams to optimize inventory investment and usage.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
