As aTechnician, you will perform a variety of responsibilities directed toward the synthesis of polymers and other materials used to make coatings.This position is located in Hampton Twp, PA and you will report to an S&T Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities

Set up reaction equipment, handle chemical reactants, perform analytical measurements.

Gather data and record detailed accounts of results in a laboratory notebook.

Apply technical know-how according to established procedures and precedents to recommend alternative solutions to problems to pursue project goals.

Independent execution on all aspects of an experiment with guidance from supervisor.

Interpret data and make recommendations for future work.

Work safely with hazardous materials daily, follow rigorous safety procedures, and wear personal protective equipment including the occasional use of a respirator.

Qualifications

High school education with high school chemistry experience

Mechanical and mathematical skills

1+ years of lab experience
