Accounting and Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting & Reporting Specialist to support financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations within a global retail and home furnishings organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial data, internal controls, and compliance with global frameworks and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support accurate, timely financial reporting in line with global frameworks and local GAAP
• Maintain quality of accounting and reporting to support business performance and compliance
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, analytical reviews, and financial analysis
• Manage entries related to accruals, revenues, costs, intercompany, and treasury/cash flow
• Ensure financial data is processed accurately and on time
• Support internal/external audits, filings, and compliance activities
• Collaborate with global and local teams to improve financial processes and reporting
• Participate in finance projects focused on standardization, automation, and efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting and/or auditing experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls
• Understanding of tax, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in global, matrixed, or retail environments
• Exposure to financial transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
