ER RN Job Details – Du Bois, PA

• Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Location: Du Bois, Pennsylvania 15801
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30, 11:00–23:30, 19:00–07:30); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Unit: Emergency Department (ED), Level II Trauma Center
• Block Scheduling: Option to work blocks of 6 shifts
• Orientation: 36 hours

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current and active PA or compact Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC and CPI preferred)
• Trauma nursing experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Must complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and Childline registration upon contract signing
• Lab work to be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• No local candidates (must reside more than 75 miles from facility)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with trauma, acute illnesses, and behavioral health conditions
• Perform advanced clinical skills: IV starts, EKGs, central and arterial line management, intubation assistance, chest tube management, procedural sedation, and more
• Administer emergency medications and blood products
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response)
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
• Participate in rotating shifts and every other weekend coverage
• Support a safe, compassionate, and efficient emergency department environment
