Job Summary
Th e Equipment Readiness Operator is responsible for ensuring equipment is prepared, maintained, and delivered according to operational requirements and timelines. This role supports equipment reliability, asset utilization, and operational efficiency while helping reduce overall cost of service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, forklift operation, inventory management, and equipment readiness activities in a safety-focused environment.
Job Description
- Assist the Equipment Readiness Lead and Engineer with preparing equipment for operational jobs.
- Perform noninvasive maintenance related to final preparation of surface and downhole equipment and ready boxes.
- Execute assigned work orders through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard procedures.
- Prepare and organize documentation for calibrations, function tests, inspections, material certifications, and third-party quality checks when required.
- Prepare equipment and critical spare parts for shipment and staging at designated loading locations.
- Receive returned equipment after logistics unloading and coordinate processing at the operational base.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, asset utilization, and maintenance processes.
- Safely unload incoming trucks and containers using a forklift.
- Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, quantity discrepancies, labeling, and packaging accuracy.
- Verify bills of lading and packing slips against received materials.
- Stage incoming materials for quality assurance and inventory verification.
- Move approved inventory to designated storage locations and update bin labels as needed.
- Pick and prepare materials according to shipping orders or pick lists.
- Stage outgoing materials on pallets and shrink-wrap shipments when required.
- Safely load outbound trucks while following load plans and weight restrictions.
- Ensure all shipping documentation, labels, and bills of lading are accurate and attached.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and document inventory movements as required.
- Keep warehouse aisles, storage areas, and yard spaces organized and free from hazards.
- Report damaged materials, shortages, or unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors.
- Perform daily forklift inspections including brakes, hydraulics, forks, and battery systems.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times, including helmets, high-visibility vests, and protective coveralls.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.
- Comply with operational standards, competency requirements, and safety regulations.
S kills Required
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, equipment readiness, or industrial operations
- Valid Forklift Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- Experience using SAP
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in industrial environments
- Ability to lift and move materials safely while wearing full PPE
- Forklift operation and material handling expertise
- Strong communication skills
- English required; Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
- Safety-focused mindset with strong equipment operation practices
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
- Full PPE required, including coveralls
- Physically active role involving lifting, loading, and equipment handling
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Details
- S hi ft: 12 Hour Shifts, during the week but potential call-outs on weekends
Pay Rate
- $25 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
