Supervisor

KSC Commercial Cleaning Services is seeking a Professional Cleaning Supervisor to start immediately.
KSC provides janitorial services to clients within the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. This role is responsible for leading and supervising the cleaning process of customer’s facilities while providing a professional image as to maintain the company’s reputation.

Qualifications include:

● Individuals must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; preferably Bachelor’s Degree.
● Individuals must have prior supervisory experience; preferably 3 years minimum in maintenance supervision.
● Individuals must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as they pertain to dealing with staff, vendors, suppliers and contractors.
● Individuals must have outstanding attendance, judgment, organizational and problem solving, and Microsoft Office computer skills.
● Individuals must have the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
● Individuals must have knowledge of business resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
● Individuals must be able to motivate, develop and direct a team as they work, and identify the best people for the job.

● Individuals must be able to manage one's own time and the time of others.

● Individuals must be able to select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.

● Individuals must be able to obtain and see to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.

● Individuals must be able to pass a drug test upon request.
● Individuals must be able to lift 50 lbs.
● Individuals must be able to adhere to set policies and procedures including OSHA rules and health and safety regulations and guidelines.
● Individuals must present a professional image when on assignment.
● Individuals must have essential physical and mental capabilities to perform required duties.
● Individuals must be willing to have a flexible schedule. Most assignments are scheduled on the evening shift.
● Individual must be a dependable self-starter.

Duties include:

● Provide reliable transportation for team members to travel to work sites.
● Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
● Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in janitorial services.

● Assigns janitorial work to employees, following material and work requirements.

● Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards.
● Conducts safety training to all personnel.
● Ensures duties and responsibilities are performed in a safe and timely manner.
● Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to avoid problems or defects.
● Records personnel data on specified forms.

● Recommends personnel actions, such as hires and discharges, to ensure proper staffing.

● Confers with staff to resolve production and personnel problems.

● Trains workers in janitorial methods and procedures and proper operation of equipment.
● Issues janitorial supplies and equipment to workers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
● Actively participate with the team for all cleaning aspects.
● Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets and furniture.

● Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: This assignment is scheduled for a 6 day work week. Work day can extend to 10 hours.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
