Job Description
The Activity Assistant/Aide supports the well-being of residents by planning and facilitating therapeutic, educational, and social activities. Working within a small team of 1-3 members, the role involves direct one-on-one interaction as well as group facilitation to promote engagement and enhance resident care. This position requires collaboration with team members to organize activities that meet residents' needs without the need for travel between locations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate therapeutic, educational, and social activities for residents
- Engage residents through direct one-on-one interactions and group facilitation
- Collaborate with a small activity team to deliver consistent and effective programming
- Support resident care by promoting participation and monitoring resident well-being during activities
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in eldercare or healthcare support
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Effective time management
- Ability to interact positively with residents
