Mechanic III - Heavy Truck & Equipment

Essential Functions
Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanic is responsible for routine repair and maintenance on small to large mobile machinery, light duty pickups and DOT regulated tractors and trailers. Candidate must possess effective diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic
- Class A CDL required.
- PA Sate Inspection License strongly preferred.
- Welding/Fabrication experience a plus.
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs in a timely manner.
- Observes, reports, and repairs overlooked damage.
- Diagnoses issues brought in from the field and makes repair decisions based on the safety of the operators.
- Must be able to safely operate various pieces of equipment and vehicles, as needed, to complete tasks.
- Possesses cost conscious decision making.
- Ability to adhere to all Company safety rules and policies.
- Good analytical skills a must.

Application Question(s):
- Do you have experience with mechanical knowledge on heavy equipment? If so, what type of heavy equipment? Examples: Skid-steers, Front-end Loaders, Backhoes, Excavators etc.
- Are you confident you can pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)? This does require you to have a VALID drivers license.
- NPK requires a criminal background check to be ran prior to employment. Do you have any felonies on your record in the past 7 years?
Experience:
- Heavy equipment operation: 5 years (Required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Required)
- Diagnostic evaluation: 3 years (Required)
- Analytics: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- CDL A (Required)
