Absolute Auto, Mill Hall is a trusted family-owned auto repair shop with over 17 years in business. We are located in the Old Don Dickey Garage building. We are expanding and seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic/Technician. If you’re passionate about delivering top-notch automotive services and thrive in a supportive, team-oriented environment, we’d love to meet you! Our shop is set up with top quality lifts, tools, equipment, brand new Hunter alignment machine and more.

• Look over every vehicle (digital inspection with pictures and notes on a tablet) from bumper to bumper to see if vehicle has any upcoming problems, recommended services or if its in good condition. Must be able to use a tablet (iPad).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions efficiently. (Ability to perform diagnostics on common issues like wheel bearing noise and suspension concerns is required).
• Top candidate should be able to diagnose most of the electrical issues and be able to read and understand a wiring diagram.
• Inspect vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed. NOTES, NOTES and MORE NOTES.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to properly and efficiently diagnose vehicle problems.
• Provide proper diagnosis/recommendations in writing.
• MUST be able to read and write proficiently.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE Certifications or Equivalent.
• Automotive Training Courses.
• PA Emissions and Safety Licenses.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 5 plus years as Professional Automotive Mechanic/Technician. (Shop experience not home garage).
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Attention to detail is a must!
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as a productive team member.

Position Details:

• 5-day work week, Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm, with lunch break. Off on weekends and major holidays (paid).
• Full-time position with approximately 40 hours per week.
• Competitive pay based on skill and efficiency. Production bonuses available after 90 days.
• Paid vacation and paid holidays after 90 days of employment.
