Construction Laborer

We are hiring for 2 open positions. We are seeking a Laborer for our concrete division and another for our demolition division.

Job Responsibilities

Assists skilled workers as assigned

Unloads materials delivered to job sites and distributes them as identified by Manager, project plans, or specifications

May help to prepare area where work will take place by measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances

Prepares tools and materials for skilled workers

Cleans and prepares specific areas of jobsite as assigned (may include erecting scaffolding, cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash or removing hazardous materials)

Operates a variety of hand and power tools

Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones

Motions equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials

Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored

Reports daily progress to Manager

Adheres to U.C.I.'s policies and procedures

Performs other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements

U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, or a worker granted asylum or refugee status

Successful clearance of criminal background check, drug screening and credit check

Age 21 or older

English fluency

Valid Class C driver's license, clean driving record (no recent moving violations)

Medical card for driver's license

High school diploma or equivalent OR completion of related vocational training

1 year of related experience preferred

Current CPR and First Aid certifications preferred

OSHA 10-hour certification preferred

Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks

Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
