GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Assesses, prepares, and provides nursing care to patients; provides ongoing care in collaboration with multiple physicians; provides and develops educational opportunities for staff and monitors outcomes.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assesses, develops, and administers plan of care, completes appropriate documentation and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. (35%)
-
Communicates with attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the RN's knowledge base or scope of practice. (20%)

Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on individual needs. (20%)
-
Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services and interdisciplinary team. (15%)
-
Coordinates administrative functions for the Program, which may include staffing coverage and/or participating in marketing activities. (5%)
-
Participates in the development and implementation of departmental and hospital performance improvement activities. (5%)

Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
-
Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
-
Program area certification and/or CEU may be required.
-
1-3 year(s) of experience in field of specialty.

CPR - American Heart Association

Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
-
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
