Cargo Handler

Location: Oakdale PA 15017

Schedule : 1st Shift, 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift

Pay rate: $19.35

Duties:

1. Safely load and unload freight from trucks and trailers, using approved equipment and following proper procedures.

2. Accurately stage freight and audit next day route loads (ensuring trailers are prepped and freight is organized for upcoming shipments).

3. Use handheld scanners or other tracking systems to scan, label, check?in freight, verify documentation and freight condition.

4. Maintain a clean, safe work environment; handle damaged freight (recoup/restore) and perform related warehouse duties (e.g., disposing of packaging, sorting materials) as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Ability to perform frequent physical tasks: lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying freight (often heavy items) throughout the shift.

2. Basic written and verbal communication skills, ability to follow instructions, perform basic math/counting, and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

3. Specific certifications or previous experience may be required for higher level roles: e.g., forklift (fork truck) certification, prior warehouse experience (1/2 years), experience with RF scanners/computer inventory entry.
