Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily operations across multiple production areas, including Live Hang, Evisceration, Packaging, Cut Up, and Feather Building. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will ensure that production goals are met while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities across multiple production areas to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Interpret production orders and schedules to determine product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.
• Ensure compliance with USDA labeling requirements and maintain proper documentation.
• Oversee and verify accurate employee time reporting and attendance tracking.
• Develop, train, rotate, and evaluate hourly employees to support their growth and performance.
• Monitor and inspect machinery to ensure preventive maintenance is completed and equipment operates safely.
• Enforce compliance with SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, HACCP, and all other plant programs and standards.
• Manage inventory and order necessary supplies for production operations.
• Adjust and review PDS settings to ensure products meet established parameters and prevent production variances.
• Promote and enforce biosecurity and animal welfare policies, reporting any related concerns immediately.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all safety standards and legal regulations.
• Report any food safety issues, equipment damage, or facility concerns promptly using the appropriate channels.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production facility required, or 5 years of equivalent supervisory experience without a degree; poultry facility experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food process equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to assigned work schedules.

Physical Demands

• Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Work on the production floor and in warehouse environments, which may be cold, wet, and loud; personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Ability to climb and work on ladders as needed.
