Little League World Series Mascot Handler

Little League International, headquartered in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, is currently accepting applications for Mascot Handler positions in support of the Little League World Series. This position supports Dugout, the official Little League mascot, during appearances throughout the Little League International Complex. Internal LLWS materials note that Dugout may walk the World Series concourse, greet fans, interact with guests, and participate in scheduled appearances such as meet-and-greets and in-game activities.
The position offers flexible scheduling options. Qualified candidates must be dependable, comfortable working around large crowds and children, and successfully complete all required background checks.
Mascot Handler duties include, but are not limited to:
This role is responsible for assisting Dugout the Mascot during scheduled appearances, concourse walks, meet-and-greets, fan interactions, photo opportunities, and special event activations throughout the Little League complex. Mascot Handlers are expected to serve as ambassadors for the Little League World Series by helping create a welcoming, safe, and positive experience for guests, families, teams, and fans.
Additional responsibilities include escorting the mascot performer throughout the complex, helping manage crowds during photo opportunities and interactions, monitoring the mascot performer's safety and comfort, assisting with breaks and hydration, communicating with event staff and supervisors, keeping Dugout on schedule, and identifying potential safety concerns such as uneven surfaces, heavy crowding, weather conditions, or restricted visibility.
Preferred candidates will demonstrate the following:
Must be available for most dates between August 17, 2026 - August 31, 2026
Must have reliable transportation within commuting distance to South Williamsport, PA
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, customer-focused attitude and the ability to create a welcoming experience for all guests
Comfortable working with children, families, teams, volunteers, and large crowds in a high-energy event environment
Ability to remain attentive, patient, and professional while supporting mascot appearances and guest interactions
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including outdoors in hot weather
Must be able to follow directions accurately and communicate effectively with event staff, supervisors, security, and other Little League personnel
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
Ability to help manage lines, crowds, and photo opportunities in a courteous and organized manner
Prior experience in events, guest services, recreation, hospitality, sports, entertainment, childcare, or mascot handling is preferred but not required
