A day in this role

You clock in at 7:00 AM, review a simple fabrication layout, and begin the fit‑up on a stainless enclosure. With steady hands, you TIG weld thin sheet—11 and 16 gauge—keeping the bead clean and consistent. A teammate asks for quick assistance on a small aluminum bracket; you switch over and lay a precise seam. Before lunch, you help with a short MIG task, then return to TIG to complete an assembly. You finish the day by inspecting your work for accuracy, strength, and appearance, and tidying a spotless, well‑organized welding bay.

What you’ll work on

• TIG weld light‑gauge sheet metal (11–16 ga.) in stainless and aluminum
• Assist with MIG welding on various metals as needed
• Fit, fabricate, and assemble components prior to welding
• Verify weld quality against strict standards for precision and strength
• Read and interpret basic shop drawings and fabrication layouts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety protocols and quality procedures
• Perform other related duties as required

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Weld test required.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of TIG welding experience; sheet metal work strongly preferred
• Proficiency TIG welding 11‑ and 16‑gauge materials
• Ability to pass a weld test
• Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Reliable, safety‑minded, and collaborative
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, crouch, and stand for the full shift
