Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Machine Technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background to troubleshoot, repair, test, and support commercial foodservice equipment. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience who prefers working directly with machines rather than sitting behind a CAD screen.

This position is highly practical and interactive working on machines daily, supporting customers, and eventually serving as a technical trainer to help customers and internal teams understand how our equipment operates.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on commercial pasta and foodservice equipment
• Perform hands-on testing, assembly, disassembly, and quality checks of machines
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
• Customer-facing technical support via phone, video (FaceTime), and in person to resolve service issues
• Clearly explain machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to customers and team members
• Assist in training customers, dealers, and internal staff on proper machine use and care
• Document service findings, repairs, and recommendations
• Work closely with engineering, production, and customer support teams

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical/mechanical experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, motors, drives, and basic electrical components
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial or commercial equipment
• Comfortable using tools, test equipment, and diagnostic instruments
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and with a team
• Willingness to learn and become an expert in Arcobaleno equipment!
