GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Assists with coordination of departmental operations including scheduling, development of policies and procedures, quality assurance, ordering, and equipment management. Responsible for supervision of employees, facilitating Respiratory student rotations, training and evaluating personnel and managing the clinical workflow related to patient care. Functions, operates and performs duties as stated in job description - Respiratory Therapist. Knowledge in sleep studies and able to assist in scoring of in lab and HST.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

performs duties as stated in job description - Respiratory Therapist / Pulmonary Function Labs.

Assists with department quality assurance. Evaluates, selects and orders minor equipment and supplies for departmental use.

Trains and orients department staff on new equipment, policies and procedures, and clinical procedures. Provides input into selection of employees. Assists with performance evaluations. Facilitates Respiratory student rotations.

Monitors work performance by reviewing clinical documentation and providing technical assistance in order to resolve more difficult situations. Provides clinical assistance in order to facilitate patient care and work completion.

Assists with Sleep Lab functions including scoring, testing, and equipment setup.

Develops and recommends policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
-
Graduate of a respiratory therapy program
-
5 years experience in Respiratory Therapy
-
Current PA Respiratory Therapist (RT) license.
-
CPR - American Heart Association.
-
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
-
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
-
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
