What you'll own

• Programming/setting up Zeiss CMMs with Calypso for first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Advanced GD&T interpretation (ASME Y14.5) for complex geometries and tight-tolerance features.
• Correlation and confirmation with CNC inspection equipment, hard gauges, and vision systems (Keyence, OGP).
• Risk-based inspection strategies: Process Control Plans, Inspection Plans, SPC/Cpk-driven controls.
• Documentation per Good Documentation Practices aligned to ISO 13485 , AS9100 , and 21 CFR Part 820 .
• Nonconformance escalation, root-cause analysis, and CAPA to prevent recurrence.
• Calibration tracking and upkeep of metrology systems and gaging.
• SOP development, internal audits, and QMS improvement initiatives.
• Coaching and mentoring of quality technicians and operators.
• Driving AI-enabled inspection efficiencies via automated data collection and reporting.

Must-haves

• 7+ years in quality engineering within regulated environments (medical device/aerospace preferred).
• Proficient Zeiss Calypso CMM programmer/operator.
• Expert in GD&T per ASME Y14.5 .
• Hands-on with Keyence/OGP vision systems and traditional hard gauging.
• Demonstrated strength in problem solving, data integrity, and compliance.
• Working knowledge of SPC , Cpk , and risk-based inspection.
• Effective cross-functional communicator and collaborator.

Nice-to-haves

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Engineering Technology or related field.
• PFMEA/FMEA and PPAP experience; QMS audit and SOP development exposure.
• Interest in inspection automation and digital documentation tools.
