Greenfield Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and talented Hair Stylist to provide professional salon services for our residents. Our salon is more than just a place for haircuts. It's a place where residents can feel confident, refreshed, and cared for. Responsibilities

As our Hair Stylist, you will:

• Provide professional hair care services including shampooing, cutting, styling, blow drying, roller sets, beard trimming, and grooming.
• Perform chemical services such as coloring, perms, and relaxers within the scope of your cosmetology license and facility policies.
• Consult with residents about their hair care preferences and recommend appropriate services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salon by disinfecting tools and equipment according to infection control standards.
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate service records.
• Create a welcoming, friendly salon atmosphere that promotes dignity, confidence, and quality of life.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members while maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Observe residents for scalp or skin concerns and report any issues to the nursing team.
• Safely assist residents with mobility or positioning needs during salon services.
• Monitor salon inventory and notify management when supplies need replenished.
• Follow all facility safety policies, infection prevention procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Maintain an active cosmetology license and complete required continuing education and facility training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Cosmetology License in good standing.
• Previous hairstyling experience required.
• Experience working with seniors or in long-term care is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation, infection prevention, and salon safety practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Manual dexterity to safely perform hairstyling services.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized salon environment.
• Ability to assist residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities using safe techniques.
