We are seeking an Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, scheduling, and labor optimization within our food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on driving high-speed production efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards. The position provides direct leadership to shift supervisors and front-line production staff, serving as the main point of contact for plant performance and cross-functional communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Scheduling: Coordinate daily production lines to meet throughput goals. Adjust labor allocation and production sequences to minimize downtime, maximize yield, and ensure on-time order fulfillment.
  
• Leadership & Accountability: Supervise and mentor shift supervisors and production staff. Lead performance reviews, enforce safety protocols, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational accountability.
  
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and workplace safety protocols. Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) and sanitation teams to guarantee audit readiness.
  
• Process Improvement: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including throughput, scrap rates, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to optimize resource utilization.
  

Core Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or management experience within a high-speed food or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations, cGMP guidelines, and automated production machinery.
• Skills: Exceptional communication, data tracking, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to lead multi-shift teams.
