Picture the start of your shift: you climb into the cab, complete meticulous pre-operational checks, review the day’s plan with your supervisor, and set tracks in motion on a site that depends on your precision. As our Earthmoving Equipment Specialist, you’ll operate excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and other machines to keep construction and excavation projects moving safely and on schedule.

What Your Day Looks Like

From reading site plans to coordinating with crew members, you’ll blend skill, safety, and communication to deliver accurate results the first time. You’ll keep your machines in top shape with routine inspections and minor fixes, document progress, and flag issues quickly so the team can pivot when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and similar heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete pre-operational inspections to verify safety and readiness of each machine.
• Follow site plans, blueprints, and specifications to execute work accurately and on time.
• Coordinate closely with supervisors and teammates to sequence tasks and maintain productivity.
• Perform routine equipment care, including inspections and minor repairs, to minimize downtime.
• Comply with all company policies and safety regulations to maintain a safe jobsite.
• Document daily activities and promptly report issues or hazards to management.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment in construction or industrial environments.
• Strong command of heavy equipment safety practices and protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Clear communication skills and a team-first approach.
• Physical stamina and strength for occasional manual labor.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
