CNC MACHINIST - II

Union position with pension: CNC Machinist Tech II. Mechanical ability and CNC machining experience required. Full-time position: 40 hr. workweek (overtime after 8hrs or over 40hrs: upon availability). Royersford Foundry & Machine provides training for this position for the right candidate.

Duties:

• Must be able to safely and efficiently set-up proven/repeat jobs and operate CNC lathes, horizontal and vertical mills (MAZAK and OKUMA) to perform tasks such as turning, facing, milling and drilling, etc.
• Understand specifications of each task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Inspect parts at set-up and during production using proper measurement devices to ensure quality products being produced.
• Prepare and load raw materials, castings and parts onto the machines and/or fixtures.
• Properly clean all machines at the end of each shift and completion of each job.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance and minor unscheduled repair/maintenance on each machine.
• Must keep a neat, clean and orderly work area.
• Must maintain job notes, set-up sheets and any other documents required for each job/operation.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Must have knowledge of basic machining and be willing to learn and grow.
• Must have understanding of basic math.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Good communication abilities.
• Must be willing and able to work safely and use all required PPE.
