Job Description

As a Security Officer - Truck Gate in York, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and providing an engaging presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, maintain detailed records, and offer exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, is comfortable using a computer or tablet, and wants to be part of a collaborative team that values integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Control access to the distribution facility by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading docks to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity within the logistics and distribution environment.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, responding to inquiries, and communicating site policies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe for any unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and client-specific procedures.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to communicate concerns or incidents as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
