We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Quality Management to lead our organization's quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. This role is responsible for developing and implementing robust quality systems, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency. The Director will lead a team of quality and process improvement professionals, collaborating across departments to drive operational excellence, enhance product reliability, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s quality management strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement , leveraging Lean Six Sigma and Total Quality Management (TQM) methodologies.
- Design, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory standards.
- Lead internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to ISO and industry-specific standards.
- Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) projects , using data-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiency and eliminate waste.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to integrate quality objectives into daily operations.
- Partner with suppliers to uphold quality standards, manage corrective actions, and strengthen supplier relationships.
- Utilize data analytics, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and track progress.
- Lead and develop a high-performing quality team , providing guidance and professional growth opportunities.
- Act as a change agent , championing innovative solutions to enhance operational performance and product excellence.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proven leadership experience in quality management strategies.
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies (certifications preferred).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable improvements .
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards in manufacturing or production settings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in quality and process improvement within a manufacturing or production environment .
- Experience with ISO certification processes, regulatory compliance, and supplier quality management .
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds .
- Capability to perform repetitive lifting and other physically demanding tasks as needed.
