Line Cook
We are seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Line Cook to join the back-of-house team at our upscale Mediterranean restaurant and café concept. This is a serious opportunity for a cook who takes pride in their work, respects high standards, and wants to grow within a thoughtful and professional kitchen environment. This is a full-time, hourly position with opportunities for advancement for the right candidate.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Line Cook at Neos Americana, you will be expected to execute prep and service responsibilities with precision, cleanliness, and consistency. Reporting to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll be an essential contributor to a high-functioning team that values professionalism, communication, and pride in the craft. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in technique, a desire to learn, and the ability to operate under pressure with composure and care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute assigned prep and service duties with consistency, urgency, and attention to detail.
Follow recipes and plating guides precisely to ensure quality and consistency across the menu.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary station at all times.
Uphold all food safety protocols including temperature control, labeling, and storage procedures.
Participate in daily kitchen setup, breakdown, and cleaning responsibilities as assigned.
Assist with inventory checks, prep lists, and station par levels to ensure smooth daily operations.
Collaborate with fellow cooks and chefs to support a respectful, team-driven kitchen culture.
Receive and put away orders with care, ensuring proper food practices and ingredient integrity.
Take direction professionally and maintain a respectful attitude during service and prep.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a high-standard kitchen environment.
Strong working knowledge of basic cooking techniques: sauté, grill, roast, blanch, etc.
Experience with solid-fuel cooking (charcoal, wood) is a major plus.
Ability to follow directions, maintain focus during high-volume service, and stay calm under pressure.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain excellent hygiene and appearance.
Experience with Mediterranean cuisine is a plus, but curiosity and coachability are essential.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a high-heat environment.
