Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher

Are you passionate about making a difference in students' lives? Our partner school in Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated and reliable Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher to provide meaningful support in an inclusive learning environment.

This is an opportunity to positively impact students with special needs by creating a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom experience. You'll collaborate with educators and families to ensure every student receives the individualized attention they deserve.

• Provide consistent supervision and support to students during designated hours.
• Deliver engaging and adaptive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with parents, administrators, and staff.
• Lead students in structured and interactive activities that encourage academic and social growth.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom using the school’s behavior management system.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support student success and school operations.

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)
• Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check ($25.00)
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
• Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting
• Prior experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting
• Friendly, professional, and dependable demeanor
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
