Job Title: Associate Data Steward
Location: Rahway, NJ 07065 (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 Months
Rate: $40.00/hr on W2

We are seeking a Associate Data Steward with a strong background in data stewardship and data management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing and maintaining high-quality data assets, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and usability across systems and teams.

• Support data stewardship by managing data ingestion, consumption, quality review, and maintenance activities.

• Create and validate documentation from multiple sources to develop comprehensive data dictionaries and business process flows.

• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities in data quality.

• Map data flows from source systems to reporting and analytics platforms.

• Oversee and manage the Strategic Tender Dashboard process, including data input and quality assurance.

• Drive new data initiatives by defining high-level business cases, requirements, and project tracking.

• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure accurate translation of business needs into data solutions.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in data stewardship, quality analysis, or a related field.

• Proficient in data governance, business data modeling, metadata management, and reporting tools.

• Solid understanding of data standards, design, audits, and governance frameworks.

• Experience with performance management metrics and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

• Familiarity with various data sources, transformation processes, and data usage practices.

• Bachelor's Degree required.

• Strong communication and writing abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to track/report progress.

• Comfortable leading working sessions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Skilled in analyzing datasets and understanding their impact on business operations.

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools and practices.

• Strong knowledge of data governance and master data processes.
