School Custodian
Position Summary
Greensburg Central Catholic is seeking a reliable School Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The custodian plays an essential role in supporting daily school operations and upholding a positive learning environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, cafeteria, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; empty trash and recycling.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms daily.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning and restroom supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Seasonal maintenance as needed.
- Secure buildings by locking doors.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to administration promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to operate custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely.
- Ability to lift up to [50] pounds and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Must successfully complete background checks and clearances as required.
