Adam Search group is partnering with a highly reputable company in Pittsburgh that is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and oversee all HR functions for a growing, consulting-driven organization. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business growth, employee engagement, talent acquisition, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with experience supporting distributed teams in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll oversight, compliance, and HR operations.
- Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and culture initiatives.
- Develop and implement scalable HR programs, policies, and processes that support organizational growth.
- Oversee recruiting efforts for professional and technical positions while building strong talent pipelines.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including market benchmarking and annual compensation planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain HR policy and handbook updates.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and foster a high-performance, people-focused culture.
- Support HR technology initiatives, including HRIS, ATS, and related systems.
- Coach and support managers on employee relations, performance management, and leadership development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in senior HR leadership.
- Experience in consulting, professional services, engineering, or project-based environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law, compensation, benefits, and HR compliance.
- Experience managing HR systems, payroll processes, and talent acquisition strategies.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $150,000–$220,000 annually
- Annual performance bonus eligibility
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and professional development support
Work Environment
This is primarily an in-office leadership role with some flexibility for hybrid work arrangements. Limited travel may be required.
