A Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, he/she is responsible to work together with an Assistant Teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty. Educational Qualifications
All candidates who wish to be considered for the position of Lead Teacher must meet the following criteria:
- CDA, Associate's or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education preferred but not required
- Two years experience preferred but not required
A Teachers responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
Advance childrens physical and intellectual competence
Support each childs social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
Establish positive and effective family relations
Ensure an effective program, responsive to childrens needs
Must be able to lift up to 40 lb., and sit/play on the floor with kids
