Hershey’s Chocolate World Actors are highly engaged performers within the Attractions Department that work in the Hershey’s Unwrapped, Chocolate Tasting Journey. This is a theatrical, interactive and high energy show where our guests sample a variety of Hershey’s products. Actors will bring to life the dynamic characters, “The Professor” and “Doc Chocolate”. They will greet guests as they enter the room and interact with guests to make personal connections during this exciting show.

Actors will facilitate the progression of the show through the portrayal of these characters. Actors will also help with other necessary duties within the Attractions Department as needed. The required skills for this position include the ability to speak in front of a large audience of up to 70 guests per show, up to 13 times a day. Actors must be able to deliver a memorized script with precise timing and comedic awareness.

This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position. This position requires daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday availability. This position has a starting hourly rate of $16.00 or more based on relevant experience.

Summary of Major Duties/Responsibilities:

• Must demonstrate our Customer Service Pledge
• Must be approachable, showing that our guests are our priority.
• Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greet them with a smile
• Must be willing to listen to our guests and provide for their needs
• Must provide a genuine Thank You to every guest
• Greet, welcome and extend service to customers, meeting or exceeding service standards
• Memorize and perform a scripted show and speak clearly to an audience
• Perform other duties within the Attractions Department as needed

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to memorize scripts and improvise when needed
• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with guests
• Must be capable of vocal performance for a period of 10-15 minutes
• Must be able to perform in front of large audiences of up to 60 or more
• Must be able to perform assigned scripts 10-13 times per 8-hour shift
• This position requires bending, stooping, and twisting
• Must be able to push, pull, or lift 25 lbs.
• Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours per shift
• Must maintain a neat appearance and adhere to the uniform standards
• Must have customer service skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have leadership skills and take initiative
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to work with technology and have a basic understanding of technology (such as computers to facilitate the show, etc.)

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: No formal education is required.

Experience: At least 6 months of acting experience is required.
