Project Manager - Commercial Construction Supply & Distribution
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the commercial construction supply industry to join our team in Pottstown, PA. This full-time onsite position is ideal for a local professional who understands commercial building materials, contractor coordination, and project logistics within the construction supply and distribution space.
The ideal candidate brings several years of direct experience in commercial construction supply operations and understands how to manage projects from order intake through final delivery. This role requires close collaboration with contractors, vendors, internal operations teams, and customers to ensure materials are delivered accurately, on schedule, and within project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction supply projects from initial order through fulfillment and closeout
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to confirm product specifications and timelines
- Oversee procurement, scheduling, and logistics to ensure timely material delivery
- Monitor project budgets, material costs, and change orders
- Maintain detailed documentation including purchase orders, submittals, delivery schedules, and invoices
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding order status, lead times, and potential supply challenges
- Resolve project-related issues such as material discrepancies, shipping delays, or scope changes
- Support internal sales and operations teams to maintain workflow efficiency
- Ensure compliance with contract documents and construction project requirements
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction supply, building materials distribution, or related industry
- Proven experience managing projects within the construction materials sector
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and contractor workflows
- Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and submittals
- Excellent coordination, scheduling, and cost-control skills
- Strong communication and client-facing professionalism
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
- Must be local to the Pottstown, PA area and available for full-time onsite work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with architectural products, commercial building materials, or specialty construction supply
- Familiarity with project management or ERP software systems
- Background supporting large-scale commercial construction projects
