About us:

Washington Avenue Animal Hospital, located in the heart of Philly, provides state-of-the-art care to the small animals of their community.

We are looking to grow our team with a compassionate veterinarian! Our 5,500 square feet hospital has 9 exam rooms, two surgery suites, and separate dental suite. Each space is designed to meet the unique needs of each pet. Our hospital works together as one unit to help our clients keep their pets healthy year-round by implementing gold-standard preventive care and lots of love. We stay current with the latest advances in veterinary technology and, above all, remember that all animals must be treated attentively and with compassion during every check-up, procedure, and surgery by providing the gold-standard care they deserve.

Our team would love to add a DVM who enjoys education and is willing to show our eager techs/DVMs some new and interesting skills. Our ideal candidate would have passion for surgery and dentals, and interest in sharing their knowledge. Our team enjoys working in a very collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required.
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the veterinary team while upholding medical standards.
• Develop and implement medical protocols.
• Perform routine and advanced surgeries.
• Interpret lab results to support accurate diagnoses.
• Educate and build strong relationships with clients.
