Job Summary

W e are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Chemical Prep and Logistics Assistant to support critical operations involving the preparation, handling, and logistics of chemical samples. This role is ideal for someone with a background in chemistry and experience in either laboratory or warehouse environments. The position involves hands-on chemical work in a warehouse-like setting, not a traditional bench lab.

Job Description

• Chemical Sample Handling: picking, packing, and shipping
• Preparation of chemical samples, including transferring materials between containers
  
• Support inventory management and order fulfillment processes
  
• Receive and break down large chemical containers (e.g., 2.5 gallons) into small sample sizes (e.g., 50ml)
  
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with department protocols
  
• Assist in chemical inventory receiving and sample logistics coordination
  
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
  
• Consistently adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Shift: 8AM - 5PM

Skills Required

• Laboratory or warehouse experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• College-level chemistry knowledge
  
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a daily basis
  
• Comfortable working in a chemical-handling environment
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  
• Proven reliability and team-oriented mindset
  
• Ability to document tasks accurately and responsibly

Education

• Associate’s degree (Chemistry coursework required)

Additional Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and required medical screenings
• Must demonstrate ability to follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times
  
• Experience with recordkeeping and working within structured operational guidelines
  
• Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexibility on start and end times
• PPE and Safety Training provided on-site
